Teresa Weatherspoon to become Chicago Sky's next coach, according to her agent The Chicago Sky have an agreement in place with Teresa Weatherspoon to make her their next coach, according to her agent, Richard Gray.He confirmed the news in a text message to The Associated Press on Tuesday night.The Sky, who won the 2021 WNBA championship, have been searching for a new coach since James Wade left in the middle of the season to take an assistant job with the NBA's Toronto Raptors. Impact culinary program helps aspiring chefs - with help from the best in Chicago CHICAGO — A chef whose cooking is well-known throughout the world is doing what he can to help a new generation of culinary creators in Chicago.It's been a passion for Rick Bayless over the last few years, and it continues in 2023 in East Garfield Park. The James Beard Award-winning chef is part of the Impact Culinary Training Program, which is offered free of charge at The Hatchery, 135 N. Kedzie Avenue. The 12-week course is offered to young adults in Chicago ages 16-24 in underserved areas of the city. (WXIN) — Police claim an Indiana woman didn't think it was a big deal when she stole a Kia from a car dealership in order to drive to Indianapolis for a job interview to be an exotic dancer. According to court documents, 20-year-old Kasia Shelton, of Muncie, "acted like this whole thing was a joke" and "did not understand what she was going to be arrested for" after police tracked her down and questioned her about the stolen car. Police learned of the theft on Monday, after an employee at a Muncie car dealership called to report a 2013 Kia Optima was stolen from the lot. The employee told officers that Shelton came to the dealership and asked to look at the 2013 Kia Optima. The employee had been preparing the car for a test drive but said the phone kept ringing, though he said no one was ever on the other end of the line when he answered. Police make arrest in Rensselaer church burglary case ALBANY, N.Y. (NEWS10) -- An arrest has been made following the investigation into the burglary at St. John the Evangelist and St. Joseph's Church in June. John W.G. According to police investigations, the suspect forced his way through a side door of the church. A wooden donation box and a wooden prayer candle box were cut open, and an unknown amount of money was stolen.Whiteford was charged with burglary in the third degree, criminal mischief in the third degree, and petit larceny. Whiteford was arraigned in Rensselaer City Court and remanded to the Albany County Correctional Facility.The Rensselaer Police Department investigated the case with assistance from the Bethlehem Police Department, Capital Region Crime Analysis Center, and New York State Parole.
