Grandma's heartwarming teen breakfast club continues in honor of late grandson

ST. LOUIS -- One St. Louis grandmother is making a difference in teens' lives, one breakfast plate at a time. Dozens of Bishop DuBourg high school students shuffle through her doors and into her kitchen on Wednesday mornings for breakfast club. They call her "Grandma Peggy."Peggy Winckowski's grandson, Sam Crowe, started the Wednesday Breakfast Club, and it continues in his honor. Crowe died in an accident at the end of July 2022. (BCN) -- A 42-year-old man was fatally struck by a Sonoma-Marin Area Rail Transit train in Rohnert Park on Thursday evening, according to the city's Department of Public Safety. Officers responded at 7:38 p.m. to a report of a collision between a SMART train and pedestrian on Golf Course Drive near Commerce Boulevard and arrived to find the man dead in the roadway. ‘Large-scale’ forgery operation busted in Pleasanton Investigators said the crossing gates were down, red lights were flashing and warning bells and a horn were working at the time of the collision.
