SPRINGFIELD, Ill. - Starting in 2025, Illinois will require most employers to include pay scales in future job postings.Gov. J.B. Pritzker signed HB3129 into effect last week, which makes it illegal for employers with more than 15 or more workers to not include pay scales and benefits for any job posting. The one street where every home is cited, no matter what condition According to the newly-signed legislation, a pay scale refers to the wage or salary, or range of either, that an employer "reasonably expects in good faith to offer.” Applicable job postings will not only be required to show pay scales, but also a description of bonuses, stock options and other incentives offered within companies. Along with pay transparency, the law requires employers to notify employees of all opportunities for promotion within 14 days of making an external job posting for a position. (NEXSTAR) – Sick of the summer heat? The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration has got some bad news for you. The agency released its 90-day forecast Thursday, predicting the broad weather conditions we expect to see around the country between September and November. For the vast majority of the country, it's looking like a hot summer will transition into a warm fall. The Northeast and Southwest have the highest chances of seeing above-average temperatures this fall, according to NOAA. Odds of a ‘strong’ El Niño grow again: Will you feel it? No states are expecting a colder-than-average fall season, but a swath of the Midwest and Plains states have equal chances of warm or cool weather. For some states, those hot temperatures are expected to be paired with clear skies – or at least few rain clouds. Only the Southeast and Alaska are expecting above-average precipitation. Meanwhile, the Pacific Northwest, Great Lakes and part of the Southwest are expected to get less...One in five Colorado state jobs is vacant. Will bonuses, better pay entice workers?

Sometimes, it means there are not enough hands to help when a memory care resident becomes disoriented and struggles. Sometimes, that means she’s choked, concussed or kicked hard enough to hobble her. Just recently, a resident wrenched her wrist badly enough to warrant an MRI.She doesn’t fault patients for their illnesses and credits her bosses for help when she’s hurt. It’s an unfortunate reality of a fraught environment — made doubly so by her double duties.“100%, I believe that, in those instances, if I had a second aide with me and I wasn’t doing it by myself, I don’t think those things would have happened as easily and we w...“Outrageous government conduct:” Attorneys file motion to dismiss charges against Cañon City woman in baby’s death
