It will be Breen’s 100th NBA Finals broadcast, making him the third basketball announcer on radio or television to reach that mark. He’ll be the sixth U.S. play-by-play voice to eclipse the mark, including the World Series and Stanley Cup Final.Breen missed the first two games of last year’s series due to COVID, which briefly delayed him from reaching the century mark.“I knew how many years I had done the finals, but I never put it into a specific number of games,” said Breen, who is calling his 18th championship series. “I would have never said 100. For some reason, to hear that number was surprising to me, and it’s not something even in my wildest dreams that I thought I could do.“I take it as an honor to reach that mark that I’ve been able to ...Country singer Jimmie Allen accused in second sexual assault lawsuit, dropped by label

A set of pickleball courts on Cape Cod are closed for the time being after neighbors complained about noise from the popular game. The group in Falmouth had a sound study conducted and hired an attorney after they said the noise in the area was unbearable. A Barnstable Superior Court Judge then ordered the courts closed. “It’s a piercing sound,” said area resident Jon Churchill of the pickleball sound. The pickleball courts in question are situated at the Lawrence School in Falmouth. Churchill lives 80 feet from the courts and can see them from his backyard. “I wear headphones, sometimes, when I’m outside,” he said. “I can’t sit on the deck. I haven’t sat on the deck in two years.”Fellow area resident Dustin Fauth said he can’t escape the sound. “Inside our house, it goes through the windows, kind of through the walls,” Fauth said. “Our bedroom actually faces it so, laying down, taking a nap, going to bed at night, it would be constant ‘Pop, pop, pop.’”...Another Unsettled Week

Hopefully you enjoyed our two days of dry weather (yesterday and today) because we go right back into our unsettled pattern this week. If you’re looking for a sliver of good news with the unsettled pattern, it will be a warmer unsettled pattern than what we had last week. Last week was cold, with temperatures in the 60s and several rain chances. This week will be in the 70s with several rain chances. The most likely wet days this week look to be Wednesday and Friday. The interesting thing about our unsettled pattern is the rain hasn’t really been that heavy… at least widespread. If you got underneath a downpour or thunderstorm last week, you probably think I’m crazy for saying that. But those heavy pockets of rain have been spotty so not everyone has benefitted from that rain every single time. When you look at the *days* that recorded rain, it’s rained on 8 of our 11 days so far this month (not counting today, because it’s not over and we may actu...LIV Golf, PGA Tour deal gets heat from Senate
