Taco Bell has hired Sean Tresvant as its new Chief Executive Officer effective January 1, 2024, the company announced on Thursday. Tresvant is the first Black person in the role. Tresvant, who currently serves as Global Chief Brand and Strategy Officer will succeed former CEO, Mark King, who announced that he is retiring at the end of 2023. In his new role reporting to Yum! (KRON) -- A Bay Area man described as a "DUI Dad" is facing a slew of charges after he drunkenly crashed a car in San Martin with his young daughter inside the vehicle, police said. Morgan Hill police officers said they were flagged down by a frantic mother who was "desperate for help." The mother told officers that she heard her toddler crying in pain over the phone, and she wasn't sure what had happened. The mother explained that the toddler was with the toddler's father. The mother tried communicating with the father over the phone as well, but couldn't get a hold of him, police said. Instead, a stranger got on the phone and provided a location where the father had just crashed his car in San Martin. (KRON) -- With the nation's birthday approaching, many around the Bay Area plan to watch fireworks shows taking place across the region. However, San Francisco's famous fog could play spoiler. KRON4 Chief Meteorologist Lawrence Karnow says fog is expected Tuesday night, and it could impact fireworks shows. Sutro Tower lasers to illuminate San Francisco with ‘sea of lights’ "Just in time for the 4th of July, our California fog will come rolling back in and likely affect some local fireworks displays," Karnow said. (KDVR) — A destructive wood-boring beetle was detected for the first time in a small area in northeast Littleton.Arapahoe County confirmed its first case of the emerald ash borer, an invasive insect that infests and kills ash trees.
