ST. LOUIS COUNTY, Mo. – A community in unincorporated north St. Louis County contacted the You Paid For It team for help dealing with a spike in cases of vandalism of their cars, as well as car thefts and other property crimes.Residents are pleading for more police protection; they didn’t see an adequate number of patrols in the area. They believe that encouraged criminals to target their area."We've got kids—young men—coming through the neighborhood, destroying our property, knocking our mailboxes down, breaking our windows out of cars for no apparent reason,” Radford Beasley said.Beasley’s wife, Michelle, has lived in the neighborhood for more than 20 years. She says police used to patrol the area regularly but don’t anymore.“I don’t know what it is or why, but we just need to see more of a police presence,” she said. SEDALIA, Mo. – Even with many parts of the state receiving rainfall over the past week, this summer's drought is still taking a toll on Missouri farmers. While some might think the recent rain has improved things for the state's agriculture industry, stakeholders say the impact of the drought will be felt for months and years to come. During a listening session at the Missouri State Fair on Monday, the state told the federal delegation that Missouri needs help."We've been blessed to have had the rain we've recently had, but the reality of it is, for the row croppers, for cattle, for livestock producers, that problem doesn't stop with the rain," Gov. Mike Parson said. "Going into fall, we're going to be short on pasture, we're going to be short on supply, and we're going to have to get through the winter somehow."After the driest April and May since 1988, farmers across Missouri are left to make tough decisions like sending cattle to market early, due to a lack of hay."We were down in...Rockies piece together 6-4 comeback win over Diamondbacks in Charlie Blackmon’s return to lineup

Three hours before the return of Charlie Blackmon, Rockies manager Bud Black attempted to manifest osmosis. Now that Colorado’s young hitters could finally observe the lineup’s bearded bastion of contact hitting in action, Black reasoned, they could absorb and replicate Blackmon’s experienced approach at the plate. It took eight often-aggravating innings, but his intuition was right. The Rockies rallied for a 6-4 series-opening win over the Diamondbacks on Monday night to welcome back Blackmon, who returned to the top of the lineup after missing 52 games with a fractured hand. He went 2 for 3 with a walk and set the table in the bottom of the eighth with a leadoff infield single, beating out a close play. Colorado trailed 4-2 at the time; it had been 4-1 in the sixth before an Ezequiel Tovar home run.“Chuck beat out a ground ball up the middle, because of course he did, obviously,” said Nolan Jones, who singled home the game-winning run later in the inning...911 dispatch trainee helps save man's life

It was on July 1 that 62-year-old Steve went into full cardiac arrest and Sharon called the emergency hotline. "What’s your emergency,” Dispatcher Carvalho can be heard saying in audio of the 911 call. “Yeah, my husband just had a heart attack. He collapsed on the floor and he’s turning red and purple. Please come!” Sharon, panic-stricken, is heard responding. At the time, Carvalho, a probationary dispatcher, had only been on the job for three months. “We’ll be there soon, but you’re going to keep doing this until we take over, okay? Do not stop,” Carvalho is heard saying. As far a...Oakland A’s fail to hold another lead as road woes continue
