Denver weather: Pinpoint Weather Alert Day Friday for heavy rain DENVER (KDVR) — The Mile High City and the Front Range will be hot in the low 90s on Thursday before some evening storms, which will keep temperatures much cooler in the Denver weather forecast.These storms and temperature drops are part of the remnants from Tropical Storm Harold, which made landfall in Texas as a tropical depression Wednesday morning.A Pinpoint Weather Alert Day has been issued for Friday because of this. While rain totals are hard to nail down, people living along the Front Range should expect more than half an inch, with higher amounts of up tp two inches in Larimer and Weld counties.Friday morning could end up with some flooding in those northern areas and that flood threat will include the Denver metro area by the late afternoon or early evening.
